19th-century French wooden garden trug w/ handle - green 11¾"

A lovely, artisan-made antique wooden basket dating from the nineteenth century, France. This harvest trug features a charming green painted finish and a curved exotic wood handle which scoops over the top to make for easy carrying. The handle is fixed to the basket with light-weight wrought-iron pieces. A lovely piece to decorate a high shelf of baskets in a sunroom or kitchen.

Note, because of the hole in corner, this piece may best serve as a decorative piece. If used in the garden, it will serve best for carrying cut flowers in lieu of small tomatoes which could more easily slide out the side.
