This is a stunning olive jar, beautifully shaped and rendered with a green glaze. It was hand-crafted in Tournac, southwest France, during the nineteenth century. It has had a drainage hole in the base. Originally used for storing olives and olive oil.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
