19th-century pair of Louis XIV-style armchairs

A superb pair of Louis XIV-style armchairs dating from the 19th century. The frames are beechwood painted in a pretty, dark lacquer color. The upholstery has been redone and recovered with a new solid linen off-white fabric. Note their beautifully sculpted and curved frames and crossed X-stretcher with carved finial at the center. These elegant armchairs would be wonderful additions as head chairs at a dining table or flanking either side of a mirror or console in an entry hall.
