19th century stone mortar w/ wooden pestle

This lovely antique stone culinary mortar and pestle dates from the nineteenth-century. The wooden pestle has been paired with the mortar and is a good, functional size. A classic kitchen accessory, used in Provence for preparing Pistou (like pesto) and aïoli. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Approx. overall 4¼" high x 10¼" diameter with lobes, 8¾" diameter internally at top. Pestle is 9" long
Approx. overall 11cm high x 26cm diameter with lobes, 22cm diameter internally at top. Pestle is 23cm long
