A rustic 'verseuse' pouring pot from the late nineteenth century. It has a wonderfully timeworn yellow glaze and is from South / West France. This kind of pot was used for cooking over an open flame - this is why it is charred.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
