This 19th-century 'orjol' from Southwest France was traditionally used for fetching water from the village fountain for domestic use. The pitcher features two handles and a vertical spout, with light wear and minor losses adding to its authentic charm. The vibrant dark green glaze on the outside, paired with a warm yellow interior, has aged beautifully, showing natural wear particularly around the base where the glaze and terracotta have worn away. This piece is a vibrant addition to any collection of antique French pottery.
