A trio of vintage flower-shaped porcelain dishes from Chanteduc, Patricia Wells’s farmhouse in Provence. From her personal collection, these beautiful bowls have a refined, petaled silhouette with crisp fluting that gathers at a neat foot. The porcelain is thin and luminous with a clean glaze that catches the light, the workmanship precise with even ribs and smooth rims. “I love plain white dinnerware because it lets the food shine,” Patricia explains, and these embody that credo on the apéritif tray.
Use them roasted almonds, briny olives, or a spoonful of tapenade. They nest comfortably on a board or tray and suit both contemporary and traditional tables, a small expression of Patricia’s intelligent simplicity and generous hospitality shaped by life in Paris and Provence. Bring them out for apéritif hour, or set on a bedside table as a vide-poche.
