4 French glass balustrade balls or newel caps - 19th century

A very rare collection of newel caps from the nineteenth-century. They all date from the nineteenth-century - blown from opaline (opaque glass), auraline (uranium glass), and mercury glass. The collars are brass, note that the green and blue don't have fixing plates underneath.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
