A pair of vintage 1980s meeting or conference chairs with sled bases, upholstered in a deep forest green fabric with a finely textured, tweed-like weave. The upholstery shows subtle color flecks that add depth to the surface, giving the fabric a soft, gently mottled appearance. The molded seats and faceted backs feature gentle channeling, with padded seat and backrests that provide comfortable support. They rest on black tubular steel frames with molded black plastic undershells. The chairs are weighty and stable, reflecting the modernist cantilever tradition developed for contract and conference settings. They present in good vintage condition, with light age-appropriate wear to the frames and minor surface softening to the fabric consistent with use.
Style them at a kitchen table for an unexpected, relaxed mix, or place them in a home office or studio where comfort matters for long stretches. Their refined green pairs beautifully with pale woods, stone, or black accents, and they can be used as dining or desk chairs with equal ease. Matching chairs in red are available separately to create an expressive, layered look that would work particularly well around a round marble table.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
