This exquisite asparagus cradle dates from the late nineteenth-century. It was likely made by the Saint Clement faience center as it is signed G underneath for 'Guerin'. The shape of an unraveled bouquet of asparagus is typical of majolica from Luneville and Saint Clement from this period. This will make a lovely addition to a collection of antique majolica and barbotine.
