This listing is part of the 'At Home with Patricia Wells' collection of epicurean objects and decorative antiques.
A lovely antique white La Louvière cake stand made in Belgium stamped underneath with the maker's mark. Note it is stained in the middle from some past desserts! Patricia found this cake stand along with several others from a shop in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue which sadly no longer exists. Looking for a simple French country recipe of Patricia's to star on this stand? Patricia recommends the "Apple Lady's Apple Cake" recipe from her cookbook, the Paris Cookbook.

Founded in 1841 in La Louvière, a town in the Walloon region, the company became renowned for its production of high-quality porcelain and earthenware.
