Antique cast iron crocodile sculpture / fountain 43¼"

This wonderful and rather charming crocodile sculpture dates from the late nineteenth -century. Made from weighty cast iron, he has a hole at the back of his mouth that could be used as a fountain. Originally this was a fountain that poured water into a swimming pool in an old stone mas in the Luberon, Provence.
