This superb 19th century French equestrian prize is dated 1878. It reads "Société hippique Francaise. Concours de Lille." which translates to "French equestrian Society. Lille Competition." The prize was for first place in the fourth classification. A wonderfully timeworn piece to display on the wall for an instant touch of French country.
