A classic Castelnaudary planter from the late nineteenth-century. Originally used for planting citrus. It has a vibrant green glaze with a splash of yellow. Castelnaudary planters always have handles because they were planted with citrus that needed to be carried under shelter for the cold winter months.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
