An early 19th century demijohn bottle. Made in Trinquetaille, near Arles with dark green glass this bottle was skilfully blown. There are no join marks and the base has traces from where the glass was cut. The bottle was used to store vinegar and the dark glass helped to preserve the contents. Condition consistent with age.
