This exquisite Guimard-style bistro table captures the elegant fluidity of Art Nouveau design, with a slender silhouette and beautifully cast bronze feet marked “Charlionais Déposé Toulouse”— a testament to its original patented craftsmanship. Likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, it features a delicate pink marble top framed by a brass rim, further authenticated by a visible maker’s stamp. The feet are richly detailed, showcasing curving, paw-like scrolls and flowing vegetal motifs characteristic of the period. Pierced elements near the base add a sense of lightness, while a layered patina with traces of rust and old paint gives the piece a beautifully aged and storied appearance.

This piece is designed in the style of French architect Hector Guimard (1867–1942), a pioneer of the Art Nouveau movement renowned for his sinuous, nature-inspired creations. He is best known for the iconic Paris Métro entrances, which exemplify the movement’s organic elegance. Guimard’s work extended into furniture, ironwork, and interiors, all distinguished by fluid lines and a boldly inventive approach to form and material.

In a modern interior, this bistro table serves as a striking statement piece, whether placed in a refined foyer, a romantic corner of a reading nook, or even alongside contemporary furnishings. Its graceful form and rich patina lend it a timeless appeal that bridges historic craftsmanship with present-day design sensibilities.
