Antique French Barbotine hanging jardinière w/ bright colors & faces

This delightful antique French glazed ceramic barbotine hanging jardinière features bright, colorful glaze and faces. Note the vibrant colors of turquoise around the rim and interior, chocolate brown around the bulbous exterior, and beautiful green layers leaves. Originally used as a cover for a hanging light fixture, so the interior turquoise glaze is in fantastic condition. 

Mostly these pots were used for potted plants and the dirt would naturally wear the glaze over time. This will be a delightful piece converted into a hanging light in a unique powder bathroom or used as a jardinière for herbs by a kitchen window or on a porch.
