"We never had a Louis here to serve them coffee with this cup and saucer!" Patricia exclaims — and yet this little antique cup and saucer labelled Chez Louis has been a favourite ever since she found it at the Vaison-la-Romaine brocante.
The cup is a compact café piece in cream-glazed ceramic. A single green stripe runs below the rim, echoed on the saucer, with a fine gold line adding just enough formality. *Chez Louis* is lettered across the body in a confident green script. The angular handle is a small, practical detail that speaks directly to its bistro origins.
This is classic French restaurant ware; display it on a kitchen shelf or dresser and it tells its own story.
