This lovely ceramic footed fruit bowl or 'compotier' from France dates from the end of the nineteenth / early twentieth century. It can also be used for serving melon wedges, nestled into the rippled edges. The colorful interior glazing has a lovely rotating pattern like a parachute of green, yellow, blue and brown. Note photos for the well loved worn edges where the glazing has worn off in certain places.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
