This unique French confit pot with handles is from south-west France and dates from the late nineteenth century. It has a lovely fully glazed green exterior and would make a delightful addition to a collection of French pottery. Note the indention around the top of the pot showing how it was designed to originally hold a terracotta lid.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
