Antique French copper fruit confit basin 7" x 19¾"

Dating from the nineteenth-century, France, this large copper basin with rolled edges and sturdy, polished copper handles was originally used to make fruit confit. Glacé fruit is traditionally made in Provence and is enjoyed at Christmas as on of the thirteen desserts.  Today, this would make an excellent addition to a collection of antique copper, to hold small logs of firewood, or to display in the kitchen.
