Antique French Copper Watering Can - 22" long

A beautifully proportioned French copper watering can from the early 20th century. Hand formed with a cylindrical body, angled neck, and long spout, it features visible hand soldered seams and a sturdy strap handle. The surface has developed a rich chocolate brown patina with touches of verdigris and the silvery glint of old solder. A faint maker’s stamp appears on the side. Timeworn and full of character, with small dents, scuffs, old repairs, and a small hole in the upper body from years of use. The base remains intact, so it is still functionnal. The long spout allows a gentle, controlled pour, making it both practical and beautifully decorative in a garden room or kitchen.

Displayed on a terrace, on a farmhouse console, or beside terracotta in a sunlit window, this rustic piece brings warmth and quiet authenticity. It can be used as a sculptural vessel for branches or dried stems, or simply as a working garden tool.
