This small antique French wooden trough or dough bowl dates from the end of the nineteenth century. Likely made from beechwood, it has been beautifully carved and has weathered over time, adding to its rustic appearance. These wooden vessels were originally used to mix bread dough. Today, they serve as a lovely centerpiece for a tablescape, filled with fruit, ornaments and foliage, or simply used as a storage tray for keys on an entry console to add a touch of authentic French country to your home.
