This very rare-footed bowl from the late nineteenth/early twentieth century is from the Dieulefit commune in the Drôme department in southeastern France, an area celebrated for its pottery. 

Note the lovely marbled glaze which is known in French as "jaspe" style. The base of the piece is glazed in yellow with swirls of brown and green decorating the interior. Note the brown glaze around the rim, which is also a signature of pottery from Dieulefit. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
