This late 19th-century French footstool is crafted from carved stained wood and raised on four tapered, fluted legs. The frame is enriched with carved rosettes and a repeating frieze in the Louis XVI style, while the upholstered top retains its period fabric, featuring flowing botanical motifs that evoke the emerging Art Nouveau aesthetic. The softly faded textile, finished with decorative brass nailhead trim, lends the piece a gentle, nostalgic charm and beautifully complements the carved woodwork.
