A vintage ink on paper drawing from Chanteduc, Patricia Wells’s home in Provence, this framed street scene captures the character of either Old Marseille of Old Nice. Patricia recalls, “The artist was from Marseille,” so it's possible that the street is in Marseille. Executed in encre de Chine (ink), the work balances crisp linear detail with soft washes to build depth and atmosphere.
