This antique French oval serving dish, from Patricia Wells’s collection, is made in warm ivory-glazed ceramic with a gently shaped rim and softly aged surface. Simple and versatile, it is the kind of country serving piece Patricia used at the table, and she recalls once serving a particularly memorable poulet aux morilles in it.
