Dating from the start of the twentieth century, a lovely large antique French preserving pot with brown glaze. This charming pot features two ribbed loop handles, and its brown color choice for its glaze could indicate an origin of Vallauris. Celebrated for its pottery, Vallauris is a seaside commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. It is located in the metropolitan area of Antibes, bordering it on its west side. Note the drainage hole in bottom. This pot could easily be used as a plant cachepot or lovely addition to a collection of pottery.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
