This charming majolica plate dates from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century. It is beautifully handmade (you can even see potter's fingerprints underneath beside the atelier's name - unfortunately hard to read). A collection of cockle shells, a starfish and scallop shell are loosely arranged on the plate that has a simple violet border. This will add an instant coastal touch to any interior.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
