Once used for milking cows dating back to the late nineteenth century, this lovely terracotta "Seille à Lait" is from Provence. It has a charming deep red-orange cider color glazed exterior with a creamy off-white interior and a single loop handle on top with a small pouring beak. A delightful piece to add to a collection of French pottery. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
