This charming French milking stool dates to the early 1900's. Milking stools typically have three legs, however it is less common that they have a back rest. The timber is most likely oak and it has been painted black. We recommend this chair is used decoratively as the backrest wriggles slightly. Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
