A lovely, tall olive jar with two handles from Tournac, France (near Anduze). Dating to the nineteenth century, it was once used for preserving green olives. The green glaze is traditional for this style jar and has maintained its brilliant color well over time. A lovely piece to add to a collection of French pottery and bring a touch of the French countryside to your home. Note the particular glazing which resulted in two C-shape designs mirroring each other.
