Dating from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century, lovely terracotta olive jar is from Castelnaudary. Note the green and ocher drips of glaze running down the sides - these are known as 'mothers-in-law-tears'. A lovely piece that will add instant Mediterranean flair to a garden, terrace or interior.
