Son of Alexandre Marie BAILLY (Paris 7th arrondissement, May 26, 1817 -), annuitant, and of Hélène Emélie LHOTE (Paris 3rd arrondissement, October 05, 1833 -), legitimized by their marriage in Paris 11th arrondissement on March 26, 1872 *.
Married in Paris 19th May 29, 1894 * Louise Suzanne JAMBON (Paris 3rd, July 02, 1876 * - Chalo-Saint-Mars, Seine-et-Oise [now Essonne], August 08, 1955), daughter of Marcel JAMBON, decorator.
He worked in association with his father-in-law Marcel Jambon from 1894 to 1908, then alone, for various theaters, notably the Paris Opera (1895 to 1923), the Opéra-Comique (1903 to 1924). When Jambon died, he took sole charge of the workshop, 73 rue Secrétan [today. avenue Secrétan] in Paris 19th arrondissement.
