Dating from the nineteenth century, France, a charming "faisselle" cheese pot. This glazed and perforated terracotta pot would have been used on a dairy farm for making faisselle cheese. Note the pretty and subtle swirled glaze design of greens and light ochre. A lovely decorative piece or cachepot for pens or coins. If using for flowers, please place a watertight container inside first. It could also be used with a candle. Note chip on rim as seen in photos.
