Dating from the start of the twentieth century, this adorable petit cruche comes from the south of France. This delightful piece of pottery presents a splend mottled brown-yellow glaze on the outside and yellow glaze on the inside. Petit and shapley in form, it features classic cruche elements such as a handle for carrying on top and a spout. Glazed ceramic ewers like these were used for fetching water from the village fountain for domestic use.
In wonderful condition, add a touch of French artisan charm to your table decor with this splendid petit cruche.
