Antique French plate - Dieulefit 10¾"

A lovely Dieulefit yellow-ochre glazed plate with touches of brown glaze around the rim and in the middle of the plate with an almost iridescent glaze. Dating from the late nineteenth century, this special piece would be a lovely addition to a collection of pottery or to add a touch of the French countryside to your home.

Note the small places where glaze is missing on the back of the plate which show where the pottery was placed during the glazing process and then removed when the piece comes off the kiln.
