This charming zinc rooster dates from the late 19th Century. Most likely from a bell tower or weather vane. Note that he has some bullet holes - not uncommon for weather vanes as they were often used as target practice. It has been recently mounted on a square oak base.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
