Antique French signed pitcher w/ lizard 12½"

SKU: 16597

US$495
Signed by celebrated artist Robert Picault, a friend and collaborator of Picasso, this charming ceramic pitcher is defined by a brown-spotted lizard handle and forest-like green and brown glazing around the handle. A serene lighter blue glaze covers the majority of the piece, perhaps inspired by the waters of the coastal town of Vallauris where this piece was likely completed.

An altogether lovely piece for your table or collection of pottery dating to the mid-to late-twentieth century, France. Read more about the artist on our blog here.
Note: the base diameter of base without handle is 3.5" or 9cm.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
