This superb vigneron's (wine maker's) table is made from timeworn pine and dates from the early twentieth-century. It pivots open and closed so that it can be easily stored. Tables like these were used by winemakers for their lunch breaks when working in the vineyards. That is why they fold away, to be stored in the farm shed or stone shelters that are found in amongst the vines.
