Antique French water pitcher w/ green glaze 9¾"

Dating from the early twentieth-century, this lovely water pitcher or 'cruche' is from the Vallée de l'Huveaune. Pitchers like these were originally carried by women on their heads to fetch water from the village fountain. Circa 1900.

 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
