An antique French white porcelain oval platter from the main kitchen at Chanteduc, Patricia and Walter Wells’s Provençal home. It lives on the open shelf, stacked with other workhorse platters, always ready for service. Patricia recalls this was the kind of piece she reached for daily. White porcelain with a soft, glossy white glaze, it shows tiny kiln speckles. The pretty, undulating scalloped rim offers an easy grip and a graceful line.
