A generous glazed terracotta poêlon from Vallauris, dating to the early–mid 20th century. It features a broad, low bowl with an integral tubular handle and a discreet pinched pouring spout at the rim. The interior is finished in a warm chestnut glaze, while the exterior displays a soft buff ground enlivened with hand-trailed, flowing jaspé slip decoration in olive and rust tones. The underside shows a timeworn, crackled patina with traces of use over the fire, while the rim presents minor glaze wear and a slight nick to the lip, details that enhance its authentic character and warmth.
This warm, tactile piece brings authentic Provençal character to a kitchen or dining room. It displays beautifully on open shelving or a pot rack, and works as a rustic centerpiece for fruit, shallots, or bread on a farmhouse table. Its earthy palette pairs well with copper, wooden boards, and faïence, suiting French country, Mediterranean, or modern farmhouse interiors.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
