This fabulous antique haystack tool comes from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. Walter collected old tools that would have been used on their farm. This sculptural tool was originally used to pull dry hay from deep inside a wet haystack. Note, it has been displayed outdoors in the weather for several years so bears a  rustic, timeworn condition. 

Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
