A superb pitcher from The Savoie (Savoy) - the mountainous region in the French Alps. Late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century.
Note the special type of marbled glaze known in French as "jaspé" (jasper) or "jaspé de Savoie" using splashes of glaze typically in shades of ocher, brown yellow and green.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
