This superb antique silver plate ladle dates from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century. There are small hallmarks either side of the handle and pretty designs detailing the border of the handle. In tandem with her lovely soupière , Patricia Wells used this ladle for her famous Monday night "soupe au pistou" during her summer cooking classes in Provence.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
