This exquisite stone bust of Moses, after Michelangelo's marble Moses in the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincolistone, is from Patricia and Walter Wells' home in Paris, and later Chanteduc in Provence. It was originally mounted on a wall and dates from the nineteenth century, at least. At Chanteduc Moses watches over the wild birds who nibble on sunflower seeds in the garden. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
