Gaston Le Mains (1860-1929) was known for landscapes and watercolors. He was a student of Henri Lehmann (1814-1882) and Antoine Guilllement (1843 - 1918). He was part of the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1886 and won an honorable mention at the Expostion Universelle in 1900. His landscapes represent country life in Britanny and the Vendee.
