A French Art Deco wash pitcher and basin in glazed earthenware by Moulin des Loups and Hamage, northern France, circa 1930. The set pairs a generous basin with opposed tab handles and a tall ovoid pitcher with flared lip and angular strap handle. Both are finished in a warm ivory glaze with gilt banding to the rims, the restrained decoration highlighting the streamlined profiles. Wash sets like this stood on bedroom washstands or dressing tables before indoor plumbing was universal and remained fashionable as elegant vanity pieces into the interwar years.
With its clean silhouette and minimal ornament, this set embodies the Art Deco sensibility of the era. Moulin des Loups and Hamage were among the leading northern factories, known for durable yet refined ceramics that combined practical function with stylish finish. This set reads as a sculptural accent and brings a quiet touch of period elegance to a bathroom or guest suite. Use the pitcher as a vase for branches or roses, and let the basin corral rolled hand towels, soaps, or bath salts. On a dressing table or console, the pair lends subtle sheen and soft color, grounding a vignette of mirrors, perfume bottles, or framed photographs.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
