This elegant Art Deco silver-plated ice bucket or small wine cooler by Ercuis, likely dating from the 1930s–40s, has a simple cylindrical form defined by groups of fine incised horizontal lines around the upper and lower sections. A pair of loose ring handles is attached to rounded side mounts, adding a subtle decorative detail while preserving the clean, geometric silhouette characteristic of the period. The underside bears the Ercuis marks together with the number “30.” This number refers to the quantity of silver used in the plating process, indicating a relatively generous silver deposit and speaking to the quality of its manufacture.

Ercuis, founded in 1867, became particularly prominent in French luxury tableware during the Art Deco era.

The silvered surface shows numerous fine scratches and light wear from use, while the interior has developed a warmer, darker patina with areas of oxidation. These variations give the piece an authentic, softly aged character consistent with its age.
